How the knotless technique works
Knotless braids are built by gradually adding extension hair into the natural hair as the braid is formed, creating a smoother, flatter base at the scalp compared with traditional knot-start braids. For this service, the stylist shapes each braid to achieve larger, clearly defined strands while avoiding an obvious bulked root.
Because hair is integrated progressively, the braid lay and parting appear more seamless and flexible. The technique requires careful tension control and even distribution of extension hair, so the stylist’s method and experience shape how natural the parting and scalp exposure look once finished.
Factors that shape your result
Braid size and the amount of extension hair determine how full and long the finished braids will be. This service calls for 4 packs of 58-inch Expression hair; using the recommended length and pack count helps achieve the intended large braid diameter and fall. Very short natural hair may need extra prep, which can change the final shape.
Hair texture, the chosen parting pattern, and how the extension is blended with your natural hair all affect the visual outcome. If you supply different hair than recommended, or request a modified placement, that will alter density and movement. The stylist can advise on adjustments when you provide details at booking.
Appointment steps and requirements
A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment; appointments are not confirmed without it and may be canceled if the deposit is not received. The service price is $280 and the listed duration is 30 MINUTES. The remaining balance must be paid in cash at the appointment.
Bring 4 packs of 58-inch Expression hair if you plan to provide your own; you may also purchase hair from the stylist at $5 per pack. Note that an additional $50 fee may apply if your hair is very short or requires extra preparation, regardless of the braid size you select.
