What the style involves
Ghana Cornrows - Straight Back are formed by braiding hair close to the scalp in straight rows that move directly toward the nape. The finished look depends on the hair you use — synthetic Expression packs create fuller, uniform rows while human-hair pieces give a softer, more natural finish. Discuss desired thickness and edge detail with your stylist before installation.
This service is offered at a set cost of $200 and is scheduled for 30 MINUTES. To secure your appointment a $50 deposit is required through Cash App to 910-977-7749; that deposit is non-refundable and appointments will be canceled if it is not received. We work from a Fulton-area Fayetteville location convenient for commuters and military families.
Preparing for your appointment
Hair is not included with this service. You may bring your own three packs of 52" Expression hair or choose human hair pieces instead; both options affect texture, weight, and final appearance. If you prefer, you can purchase the hair from the stylist before your appointment. Confirm which hair you will use when you book to avoid delays on the day of service.
Plan to arrive on time for your slot and confirm the deposit has cleared. Our salon sits in West Fayetteville / Cliffdale near Murchison Road and Skibo Road retail corridors, so it’s easy to combine a visit with errands at nearby shopping hubs. Evening and weekend availability accommodates busy commuters and Fort Liberty schedules—mention timing needs when you book.
Maintenance and local factors
Fayetteville’s humid subtropical climate can influence how long a cornrow style looks fresh, so ask your stylist about protective nighttime routines and moisture management suited to local conditions. Simple routines like tying with a scarf or using lightweight treatments can reduce frizz. Your stylist can explain which aftercare steps fit your daily routine and the hair type used in your installation.
Consider the trade-offs between low-maintenance appearance and the need for periodic upkeep. Straight-back cornrows provide a neat, uniform look but may require attention to edges and scalp comfort in the first days after installation. If you have a tight work or sleep schedule, discuss preferred tension and follow-up plans with the stylist to match the result to your lifestyle.
